The Point of Sale (POS) module is Beelocity’s counter-selling front end: registers (the tills), sessions (one cash-drawer shift), and a full-screen terminal where the cashier sells, refunds and takes payments.
Everything the register does lands in the books automatically. When a session closes, Beelocity generates the sales invoice and the treasury receipts for you, and every sale moves stock the moment the ticket completes — there is nothing to re-enter, post or reconcile by hand.
A typical day looks like this:
- The cashier opens the terminal, picks their register, and opens a session with the cash float they put in the drawer — say 5,000 DA in change.
- They sell all day: tap products or scan barcodes, take cash or card, give change, print receipts. A customer returning yesterday’s purchase gets a refund against the original ticket; a mistyped ticket from the same shift can be voided.
- At the end of the shift they close the session: count the drawer (notes and coins if they like), and Beelocity compares the count with what the tickets say should be there — the over/short.
- The session settles itself: one sales invoice for the day’s anonymous sales (and separate invoices for named customers), paid by treasury receipts — one per payment method, each into the treasury account that method names, with cash landing in the register’s own cash account. The Z-report summarizes the shift by payment method, tax rate and product category.
