Roles Management in Beelocity
This document provides a comprehensive guide to managing roles within the Beelocity platform. Roles are specific to each company and are accessible from the respective company page.
To locate and manage roles for a specific company in Beelocity, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the sidebar on the left side of the Beelocity interface.
- Locate and click on Identity and Access to expand the menu.
- Select the Companies sub-item to access the Companies management page.
- In the data table, find the desired company and click on the ID cell to visit the company’s detailed page.
- On the company page, locate the Roles tab to view and manage the roles specific to that company.
This section serves as the central hub for all role-related operations within the selected company.
Creating a Role
To add a new role for a company in Beelocity:
- Access the Roles section from the specific company’s page as described above.
- Click the Add button, typically located at the top-right corner of the Roles section.
- You will be redirected to a new page with a form to enter role details.
- Fill in the required fields:
- Name: Enter a descriptive name for the role.
- Description: Provide a detailed description of the role’s purpose and permissions.
- Verify that all entered information is accurate.
- Click Submit to create the role. The new role will now appear in the Roles data table for the selected company.
Updating a Role
To modify existing role information:
- Navigate to the Roles section on the specific company’s page.
- Locate the data table displaying all roles for the company.
- Identify the role you wish to update and click on the specific cell containing the information you want to edit (e.g., Name or Description).
- Make the necessary changes directly in the cell.
- Press Enter to save the updates. The table will reflect the modified information immediately.
Visiting a Role Page
To view detailed information about a specific role:
- Navigate to the Roles section on the specific company’s page.
- Locate the data table displaying all roles for the company.
- Identify the role you wish to visit and click on the ID cell of the corresponding row.
- You will be redirected to the detailed role page, which provides comprehensive information about the selected role.
Deleting a Role
To remove a role from a company in Beelocity:
- Access the Roles section from the specific company’s page.
- In the data table, locate the role you wish to delete.
- Select the role by clicking the corresponding row or checkbox.
- Click the Delete button, typically found at the top of the table or within a context menu.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted to permanently remove the role from the company’s records.
Warning: Deleting a role is irreversible and may affect users assigned to it. Ensure the role is no longer needed before proceeding.

- Company-Specific Roles: Ensure roles are tailored to the specific needs and structure of the company to which they belong.
- Clear Naming and Descriptions: Use descriptive and unique names and provide clear descriptions to facilitate easy identification and understanding of each role’s purpose.
- Regular Review: Periodically review the roles within each company to ensure they remain relevant and aligned with access requirements.
- Confirm Deletions: Double-check before deleting a role to prevent unintended disruption to user permissions.
- Access Control: Restrict role management permissions to authorized users to maintain security and data integrity.
